Episode 6 ~Alone in Winter. Memories of Warmth~

"Sakura... Sakura... please... forgive me..." Hyde was kneeling on the floor holding Sakura’s hand in his and crying against the drummer’s legs.

"How can I forgive you for this?" Sakura snapped violently and tugged his hand away from Hyde’s grip.

"It was a stupid mistake, I’ve never loved anyone but you!"

"Just... shut up, shit!"

"Please! Sakura! I’ll never see this person again! I don’t give a damn about anyone but you! I only want you!"

"Just leave me alone!"

"Sakura... please... I’ll do anything you want! Everything you want! I’ll never nag or protest, but please... don’t leave me!"

Sakura sat on a couch and looked at Hyde sobbing on his knees.

"I don’t know what I’ll do with you, asshole. I guess I’m too in love with you to just leave you like that..."

"Yes, yes... same thing here, Sakura... please! I’ll do as you say, I promise you! I won’t see anyone but you, ever!"

"Things will change, pretty one..."

"No, they won’t! I’ll keep my word! I promise!"

"I promise you..." Sakura said pointing at Hyde with a mad look on his face. "...That things will change... from now on."

Hyde nodded sobbing. "I’ll do anything you say, Sakura... just please forgive me..."

"Get out of the way, Haido... I’m going out. And don’t wait for me." Sakura said as he walked away.

Hyde ran desperately. His mind was cluttered and he couldn’t think clearly. He kept running without knowing where he was going. He crossed the streets carelessly, bumped into people and finally, when he was exhausted, he fell on his knees to the ground at a corner, in a neighborhood he had never been to before.

"Koko wa... doko...?" Hyde looked around him. It was very late at night, and the streets were extremely calm on this side of Tokyo.

Hyde got up and tried to find out where he was. He kept looking around, searching for a sign, or something that would give him a clue. Suddenly he caught sight of a pay phone, and ran awkwardly towards it.

"Tet-chan... Tet-chan..." He began dialing his friend’s number, but suddenly he stopped and hung up.

"No use... what am I gonna tell him? Besides, he can’t help me... And to top it all, I don’t know where I am..." Hyde sat by the payphone and began to cry.

Sakura lied on the sofa crying in the middle of his out cold reverie.

"Haido... How could I ever think some piece of shit like you would love me? How could I ever trust you? Haido... How could I ever fall in love... fall so head over heels for you? How...? How...? You’ve broken my heart, and you keep laughing... acting as if nothing had happened... you bastard... you cold bastard... you are indeed the child of Satan... more than you think..."

"Ahh, Sakura is so jealous... cuz I’m so damned good looking everyone wants me in bed..." Hyde laughed and winked at Ken and Tetsu.

"Shut up, you smug little thing!" Sakura protested.

"You are jealous, ne Sakura-chan?" Hyde laughed as he arranged his microphone.

"OK. Enough play, let’s work." Tetsu interrupted feeling the tension growing up.

"Yeah, OK, Tet-chan. Let’s work." Hyde nodded.

"Yeah... before Sakura strangles you for being such a flirt..." Ken commented.

"A flirt?" Sakura asked from behind the drums. "What do you mean?"

"Nuthing!!" Hyde said grinning mischievously.

"You are laying someone?" Sakura asked trying to sound cool.

"They are teasing you, Sakura..." Tetsu said annoyed.

"Yeah... well, they better be, or Haido will have a rough time at home..."

"Wow! Such a macho guy!" Hyde laughed and winked at Sakura.

"OK, gang. Sakura, give us four..." Tetsu began, obviously irritated.

"Wait, wait!" Sakura said. "Ken! Who’s this fag flirting with?"

Ken looked at Sakura surprised. "Uh... dunno... he keeps flirting with everyone. That doesn’t mean he goes to bed with them, don’t be such a jealous fag, Sakura!"

"Hahaha!! Ken-chan called you fag!" Hyde laughed in the microphone.

"If you know something, just spill it out!" Sakura ordered pointing at Ken with his drumsticks.

"I know something, and trust me, my friend, you don’t want me to spill it out!"

"Whoa! Ken-chan!" Hyde laughed.

"Sakura... they are teasing you!! You can’t be so silly!!" Tetsu yelled protesting.

"Un... wakatta..." Sakura sat back on his stool. "I’m watching you, Haido!" He warned.

"OK. That’s good. I like being watched..." Hyde grinned and turned to the microphone.

"Now, everyone... Shall we work?" Tetsu asked, about to lose his patience.

"It went on like that... you kept making fun of me... and I... I loved you so deeply... so dearly... like I’ve never loved anyone before..." Sakura stayed motionless on the couch... tears dropping effortlessly on his cheeks.

"Bastard..."

"What are you doing here?" A young man, looking like an employee coming back home from the office asked Hyde when he saw the small man sitting on the ground.

"Huh?"

"What are you doing here?" The man repeated.

"Nothing!" Hyde screamed alarmed. He felt as if he was being accused of doing something, but he still couldn't make out what.

"Are you stoned? Drunk?"

"No! No! Wait! I’m just lost!"

"I see... Where do you live?"

"Ah... Shibuya..."

"Man, you are lost... Take the subway two blocks south from here."

"Thank you." Hyde said propping himself up.

"No problem. And stay out of this decent people neighborhood."

"I’m sorry." Hyde said as he ran towards the pointed direction. He was definitely going to the studio.

Hyde opened the studio door softly. His hands were shaking and he turned on the light leaving his bag on the floor.

"I know there is a bed somewhere here..." Hyde was unable to focus on anything.

"I remember that bed..." He thought opening every door in the studio and looking inside. Finally he found the cold dark room with a bed in it.

"Oh, yes I remember..."

Sakura was hitting his drums fiercely. Tetsu had left to buy takeout food, and Ken had gone for a quick visit to his girlfriend. Hyde was sitting on the floor going through his notes.

"Ne... Sakura-chan..." Hyde yelled trying to make his voice audible beyond the drums. Sakura didn’t listen.

Hyde walked up to the microphone and yelled in it. "Sakura!!"

Sakura was startled.

"What the hell...?"

"You have that music sheet we were writing last night?"

"No, man. You kept it."

"I can’t find it."

"OK, just stop yelling on the mike, I’m not hitting the drums any more."

"Un!" Hyde yelled again on the microphone and laughed.

"You are such a brat..." Sakura laughed.

"Oh... yes... I... am... and... you... love... it!" Hyde made his voice very deep and sexy still in front of the mike.

"You... are... making... me... horny..." Sakura mocked him.

"There... is... a... bed... in... that... room..." Hyde went on and muffled a laugh.

Sakura got up and grabbed Hyde by the waist.

"Yoshi!" He said and dragged Hyde inside the room, while the small vocalist giggled amused.

"A quickie... before Tet-chan comes back..." Hyde grinned and undid his leather pants, lying on the bed, holding a cigarette between his lips, while Sakura undid his.

"Whose fault is this, Sakura? Mine for cheating on you once? Or yours for getting high on heroin and cheating on me all the time?" Hyde smirked sorely and curled on the bed covering himself with his coat.

"Either you just don't get it... or I just don't get it... or we are both too stupid..." he mumbled to himself.
