Chapter 4 ~Party Time~
“Ne... Sak-chan... You think they are mad at me?” Hyde asked biting his lower lip in an innocent look.
“Why would they be? Wait... you are of age already, aren’t you?”
“Do I look THAT young?!” Hyde asked gaping astonished.
“Yeah, you look 16.” Sakura said balancing his head sideways as he estimated Hyde’s age.
“I’m 24 dammit!”
Sakura laughed wholeheartedly. “Well, I thought you were 19 at most.”
“Ahh, you, pervert!” Hyde said smirking.
“You are the perverted one! You are older than me!” Sakura laughed amused.
“Yeah, but I’m more innocent than you!” Hyde pointed at him and began groping for his underwear.
Sakura softly held Hyde by the waist and pulled him against his body. “I’ll keep thinking you are 19... it turns me on...”
“Really?” Hyde smiled pouting.
“Yeah...” Sakura said kissing Hyde’s earlobe.
“Then, think I’m 16...” Hyde laughed mischievously.
“Oohhh... I want to make love to you again, already...”
“No! Let’s eat first!” Hyde protested.
“You are such a brat...”
“I’m... so hungry...” Hyde wailed pouting.
“OK. I’ll cook you something.” Sakura said helping Hyde get dressed.
“Yoshi! Chinese food?”
“Don’t get picky.”
“I love Chinese food!”
“I’ll see what I have.”
“I can cook for you! I can cook Chinese food for both of us.” Hyde commented while putting on some clothes.
“No, no... you are my guest.”
“I like it... to be taken care of...” Hyde said casually as he followed Sakura into the kitchen.
“I’ve really noticed...”
“I can take care of you too, Sakura...”
“Yes, I know you can, little one.” Sakura smirked. He was not thinking about food.
“I’m not little!”
Sakura stood beside Hyde and signaled pointing at the difference of height.
“Baka!” Hyde replied taking a few steps apart from him.
Sakura cooked patiently, humming and trying to ignore Hyde’s repeated suggestions and meddling in his cooking.
“Sa... Haido...”
“Hai?”
“Why don’t you go watch TV?”
“I annoy you?”
“Very...”
“Ahh!! How mean you are!”
“Just let me cook in peace, will ya?”
“No, cuz you are not doing it right.”
“I know what I’m doing...”
Hyde rested his head on Sakura’s back and sighed wrapping his arms around the drummer’s waist.
“I like you a lot, Sakura...”
“I’m glad you do.”
Hyde rubbed Sakura’s stomach lovingly while holding him from behind. “You’ll be my pet, Sakura.”
“Hahaha! Your pet?” Sakura laughed wholeheartedly.
“Yeah, I’ll cuddle you and kiss you and take care of you forever.”
“Hmm... sounds good.”
“And you will keep me warm and well-fed.” Hyde went on.
Sakura placed a lid on the pot and lowered the fire, letting the food settle for a few minutes, then he turned inside Hyde’s embrace, and lifting the vocalist’s head with his fingers he slightly kissed his lips.
“You are so gorgeous, Haido...”
“You are gorgeous too!” Hyde sighed with his eyes closed, smiling at Sakura.
“I think I’ve fallen in love with an angel...” Sakura smiled, his face full of love.
“Yes, you have. You’ve fallen for a fallen angel.” Hyde smiled opening his eyes.
“I just can’t stop looking at you.”
Hyde pressed Sakura tightly against his body.
“I never thought I’d find someone like you, Sakura...”
“Well... I always dreamt I would find someone like you.”
“I’m your dream guy?” Hyde played.
“You are my dream guy and you look like my dream girl.”
Hyde smiled at him. “Baka...” And pressed his head against Sakura’s chest.
“Yoshi.” He said.
Both men were sitting at the dining room table, eating. Hyde was stubbornly trying to make Sakura open his mouth so he could feed him with his chopsticks.
“Now, do as I say, dammit!” Hyde ordered.
“Ask sweetly! Can you do that?” Sakura was puzzled.
“I’ve asked sweetly one hundred times already! Open up! Saaa!”
“No, I’m not a baby, I can feed myself.”
“Don’t be stupid, Sakura. Let me feed you!” Hyde protested and part of the food fell from his chopsticks.
“See what you’ve done?” Hyde said.
“You’ve done it!” Sakura laughed heartily. “Klutz!”
“You are the klutz! Dammit!”
“Stop swearing! Haido! Your swearing and your heavy Osaka ben make it impossible for any normal person to understand what you say!”
“Hmph. OK. Open up your mouth and let me feed you, please...” Hyde said mocking a crooner voice.
Sakura laughed at him. “OK. Only to make you stop it.” He agreed and opened his mouth letting Hyde feed him a mouthful of food.
“Yoshi!” Hyde said pleased.
“You are happy?”
“Yeah. Very. Again!”
“No! Not again!”
“Yes! Again!”
Sakura stood up and walked towards Hyde.
“Nani?” Hyde was surprised.
Sakura lifted Hyde in his arms and walked towards the bedroom.
“Wait! There’s more food left!” Hyde protested.
“You ate enough for four people already!”
“You’ll give me another tour?” Hyde asked in Sakura’s arms.
“Yeah. The big tour.”
“Bathroom, dining room, bedroom!” Hyde said in English, laughing as Sakura took him lovingly towards the bed.
“Of all rooms, bedroom is the best.” He added now in Japanese.
“You like the bedroom?” Sakura asked amused, softly putting him on the bed.
“Yep! Cuz Sakura makes love to me here.”
“You were crying before...”
“I won’t cry now. You said you’d be more careful, and I believe you.”
“You look so innocent...” Sakura smirked at him.
“You are so easily fooled...” Hyde smirked back, sitting on the bed and watching Sakura get undressed.
“Will I have pajamas to sleep in?”
Sakura laughed heartily at Hyde.
“What? What’s so funny?” Hyde asked puzzled.
“Pajamas!!!” Sakura couldn’t stop laughing.
“What?? You won’t give me any?”
“When you fall asleep, you will be so exhausted, you won’t remember what the word ‘pajamas’ means.”
“Really? What will you do to me?” Hyde asked mischievously.
“I’ll make you mine.” Sakura said in a husky voice, crawling up to Hyde.
“Great. But it will be I who makes you exhausted.”
“No chances.”
“You’ll see!”
Sakura pinned Hyde down to bed, and took off the vocalist’s sweater and boxers. He wasn’t wearing anything else. Hyde undid his hair, which fell loosely on the pillow like a brown silk waterfall, and caressed Sakura’s head pecking on his stomach.
“I’m warm, my stomach is full... and I am loved... This is real happiness...” Hyde thought.
They both indulged in one steamy love making session, that lasted hours.
Next Morning Hyde woke up naked and startled.
“This is not home!” He yelled and woke Sakura up with his scream.
“Huh?” Sakura looked around, his eyes barely open. “Yeah, it’s MY home.” He answered and went back to sleep, dropping his head heavily on the pillow.
“Sakura?”
“Who else?” Sakura mumbled.
“What time is it?”
Sakura grabbed his alarm clock and pressed it against his face in order to catch a glimpse of it beyond the blurry morning vision. “11 AM” He snapped and put it awkwardly back on the night table, sinking his head in the pillow.
“We missed practice!!!!” Hyde screamed on top of his lungs.
“Oh... five more minutes!” Sakura protested like a child, as he felt Hyde jumping off the bed.
“Tet-chan will kill me!! He will kill me!! He will throttle me!!” Hyde yelled desperately as he began dressing in a hurry. “Sakura get up!! Get up now!!”
“Shut up!” Sakura pleaded shrieking and covered his head with a pillow.
“Get up now!!” Hyde bellowed in his deepest, angriest voice and began kicking the bed.
“You go now. I’ll go later.” Sakura said swearing inside his head.
“Tetsu will blame me for this!!!” Hyde pleaded kneeling on the bed and shaking Sakura.
“Well, it’s your fault.” Sakura snapped and held the pillow tighter upon his head trying to muffle Hyde’s voice.
“How come it’s only MY fault?!” Hyde protested kicking Sakura’s butt softly over the sheets.
“Cuz you were too horny last night.” Sakura chuckled, his head still under the pillow. “To think you said you were afraid...”
“You were horny too!!” Hyde protested. “I’ll kick you out of bed and drag you to practice naked!!!!!” He screamed on top of his lungs.
“Go practice. Tell them I had to baby-sit you and I’m tired!”
Hyde left swearing and slamming the door angrily.
“Tet-chan will kill me!” He said as he rushed down the stairways, not able to bear waiting for the elevator.
Hyde arrived in the studio running, almost out of breath. He threw his coat carelessly, together with his bag, and entered the room where he knew Tetsu and Ken were.
“Hideto-kun!! We have to talk!!” Tetsu yelled as soon as he saw Hyde’s small shape entering the room.
“Huh?” Hyde barely managed to answer, as Tetsu caught him by an arm.
“Now!!” Tetsu screamed and dragged Hyde inside one of the spare rooms in the studio.
“Whoa! Tet-chan!” Ken exclaimed from the studio’s little kitchen.
Tetsu pushed Hyde into the room and locked the door.
“Sit on the couch.” Tetsu ordered visibly mad. He was glaring at Hyde.
“Uh... I’d rather stay on my feet... thanks, Tet-chan.” Hyde answered politely.
“What? You already can’t sit?”
Hyde lowered his eyes. “Nuh... it’s only that... I’d rather stay on my feet.”
Tetsu pushed Hyde on the couch and Hyde fell on it, immediately rolling to one side and twitching in pain.
“I see... You already had sex with him!” Tetsu said half-mad, half broken- hearted.
“No! No, Tet-chan! I fell on my butt at the staircase!” Hyde lied.
“Yeah, right...” Tetsu mumbled rolling his eyes.
“It’s true! I fell!” Hyde kept his lie.
Tetsu looked away and didn’t answer.
“Just where the hell is your lover!?” He howled suddenly.
“He’s not my lover! And Sakura is on the way!” Hyde said apologetically.
“You two... fags! You skip practice just when we are about to record our first album only out of being horny!!!”
“Tet-chan... listen, I’m not gonna hide it from you, since you are like a big brother to me. I like Sakura. I like him a lot. Not like... an affair, I mean... I... Well... we kissed. We kissed and did romantic stuff, yeah. I was stunned to see it did turn me on, and it felt great. But we didn’t have sex... I... I’m scared of it. And so is he. This is just curiosity, I think... none of us is taking it too seriously.”
“Are you saying the truth, Haido?” Tetsu asked looking at him from the corner of his eye.
“Yes, yes, Tet-chan!” Hyde lied. “I was so... daydreaming when I was coming here, I slipped on the staircase!”
“Don’t... just don’t have sex with him, Haido...”
“Huh?”
“Don’t turn gay.”
“I’m not gay!”
“We have been invited to play at an important party. Lots of big people in the music business will be there watching. Please you two behave yourselves...”
“I will. Sakura will behave too. We won’t kiss or anything...”
“And I won’t tolerate any more delays!!” Tetsu yelled.
“I’m very sorry, Tet-chan.” Hyde relented lowering his eyes.
“And by the way, Haido... you should use elevators...”
Hyde nodded and blushed.
They both left the room. Sakura was already there, chatting with Ken about girls.
“Huh? How come it took you only fifteen minutes to catch up with me?” Hyde was puzzled.
“Cuz you ran, and I took a cab.” Sakura answered and shrugged.
Tetsu felt a knot on his stomach. He knew he had lost Hyde... And despair had crept up his body, slowing down his heartbeat and filling his eyes with bitter tears. He put his bass guitar on his shoulder and cursed himself inside his head. He knew he wouldn’t be able to concentrate that day... But he kept the hope Hyde’s infatuation with Sakura might wear off eventually...
Suddenly all Tetsu could perceive around him was darkness, as if the cold yet sunny winter day had become clouded in a matter of seconds.
The party was loud. L’Arc en Ciel had just played, and everyone had loved it. Lots of people came to talk to Tetsu and Hyde. Sakura and Ken stayed in the back amused at how Tetsu would be so talkative and sweet, whereas on the other hand, Hyde would be so restrained and quiet. They couldn’t help but chuckle at Hyde’s sudden shyness.
The waitress offered the band a drink... and two... and more. And they all had them. Sakura and Ken were guzzling and beginning to get happily drunk. After over an hour Tetsu moved over an isolated table and began drinking alone, watching them from afar. Once the show and the social affairs had finished, his mind went painfully back at his heartbreak. Hyde soon joined Sakura and Ken and began drinking with them. Not being used to doing so, he got drunk immediately.
“Go over to that table, and kiss Tet-chan!” Ken said jokingly.
“OK.” Hyde answered and stumbled struggling to reach the table where Tetsu was. Tetsu saw him but couldn’t stand up... he was too dizzy.
“Tet.... chaaaannn!!!” Hyde squealed happily and sat himself on top of the table, smiling silly.
“Huh?” Tetsu tried to focus his blurry vision on Hyde.
“Don’t I look super kakkoii!?” He asked straightening his sheer shirt by pulling down from it with both hands.
“Even drunk you are conceited.” Tetsu mumbled.
“It’s the truth....” Hyde answered his eyes rolling in his dizziness. He caught sight of a glass of whisky and gulped it.
Ken watched from afar amused. Sakura was leaning his head on the bar and watching too. He was beginning to get suspicious about Tetsu.
“Tet-chaaaannn.... I make you horny?” Hyde asked amused in a slurry voice. “I make everyone horny!”
“Huhhh??” Tetsu was unable to react.
Hyde went on all fours on the table and kissed Tetsu on the lips. Tetsu jumped back, and Hyde grabbed him by the back of his head, pushing him down to his seat again.
“I like you a lot, Tet-chan... And I can’t lie to you...” He started, and drunken tears flooded his eyes. “I did have sex with Sakura.”
Tetsu was aghast. He gaped confused, refusing to believe his ears. His heart stooped, and he felt a painful void in his stomach.
“Yeah, Tet-chan... It was good, but it hurt a lot...” Hyde laughed crying as he went on in his slurry drunken speech.
Tetsu’s lips quivered, he was at a loss of words. Somehow in the back of his head, he knew it had happened, he didn’t need Hyde’s confirmation.
“But I will do it again, cuz it was so good... and I like Sakura! He’s so damned sexy! He turns me on like you dunno... you dunno... how... he turns me... on.”
Sakura had walked towards them and heard the last part of the conversation. He took Hyde by the waist and grinning at Tetsu he dragged him away.
“See? He’s taking me to bed again!” Hyde screamed on top of his lungs and laughed as Sakura swept him in his arms.
“Shhh... Hush, pretty boy...” Sakura tried to calm him down, stumbling himself as he struggled to walk.
“Yeah, Sakura... Take me to your bed again!” Hyde squealed laughing, and wrapping his arms around Sakura’s neck.
Tetsu looked at them walking away; then he sunk his head between his arms and started to cry softly. His body shuddering in anger and disappointment... sadness and remorse.
